The Gravite staff was a staff released along with the Dungeoneering skill. It requires 45 magic and 45 dungeoneering to wield, and can be purchased from the rewards trader for 40,000 (40k) Dungeoneering tokens. It currently gives the highest free to play magic attack bonus, and it is the only free to play staff with a magic damage bonus that can be used outside Daemonheim. As with all gravite weapons, it lasts about 10 hours in combat before it needs to be recharged.

The standard max hit of Fire Blast, the most damaging offensive spell for F2P mages, is 160. The staff alone adds a 5% damage multiplier to this damage that adds to bonuses offered by equipment, raising the spell's max hit to 168 for a player wielding the staff. Contrary to popular belief, damage multipliers gained from the wizard's mind bomb and similar Magic level-boosting items multiply with rather than add to equipment bonuses. This means that with an arcane blast necklace and the staff equipped, a player can hit up to 184 life points, 15% above 160; after using a wizard's mind bomb, this new max hit is boosted an additional 9% to 200. This can be further boosted to 250 using the Magical Blastbox. The Magical Blastbox will add an extra 25% damage to every fifth hit. This is in a separate splat however.

Repair costs

When first bought, the weapon is 20% charged. Repair costs come in 1% increments; you can repair them whenever there's at least 1% charge missing.

  • 100% charged (Fully charged) – no cost.
  • 99% charged – 10,000 coins or 1,000 coins and 65 tokens.
  • 90% charged – 100,000 coins or 10,000 coins and 650 tokens.
  • 0% charged (No charge) – 1,000,000 coins or 100,000 coins and 6500 tokens.
