An Air talisman staff can be made by combining an Air talisman with a Runecrafting staff. A Runecrafting staff can be bought in the from Wizard Elriss in the Runecrafting Guild for 10,000 Runecrafting guild tokens. However, to enter the Guild an indirect requirement of level 50 Runecrafting is required.

The staff is similar to a Air tiara in purpose, as the staff can be equipped in the weapon's slot, allowing players to left click on the altar to get inside, saving an inventory space. The staff can also be used for "distracting the eyes in the Abyss to help you sneak past".

The Talisman staff is also a very good F2P PvP weapon because when combined with an Amulet of strength, it gives an unmatched +33 strength bonus for a free-to-play weapon requiring no other levels to wield, other than 50 Runecrafting to play The Great Orb Project. Because of this, the staff is favourable by F2P pures with a low attack level.
