The Bat staff was added on 4 August, 2010 as part of the Elite Treasure Trails and New Rewards update. To wield it you need 40 Magic, 40 Attack, 60 Prayer 20 Defence. When a player has both a bat mask and a bat staff equipped, the player has the option to do a special emote. Each staff is connected with an unlimited elemental rune. This staff gives unlimited Air runes. It also gives the same bonuses as a mystic air staff, but with +2 summoning defence and +6 prayer.
