A Staff of fire is an elemental staff. It provides an unlimited amount of fire runes. This staff is used mainly for High Alchemy, Superheat Item, and fire missile spells.

If you have a crystal ball in your house you can change the element of the staff. Visually the staff of fire is identical to the fire battlestaff and the mystic fire staff.

Autocast was an option for elemental staves, but was taken out after an update due to spells being able to be autocasted without a staff. After a recent game update, the staff's wielding animation has been cut off, only animating a portion of the full movement. This has now been partially fixed.

With 85 Crafting, players may attach a shade skull to the Staff of fire, creating a Skeletal staff of fire. There is a current glitch in which you cannot see the red orb of the fire staff.

Trivia

• There is a currently a glitch on members and free worlds where the red orb on the end of the staff doesn't load, so it just looks like a normal staff. This is yet to be fixed.
