The Empowered earth staff can be found in the dungeons under Daemonheim. It requires 60 Magic to wield, and gives infinite earth runes while equipped. It can be obtained as a drop from the Unholy Cursebearer, by empowering a Thigat staff (requiring a Runecrafting level of 70) or as part of the equipment provided on the starting tables. Some people choose the empowered earth staff over the empowered fire staff, as it will eliminate the need for earth runes when casting binding, cursing, and Vengeance spells, while there is little damage difference between fire and earth spells.

At Runecrafting level 70, this staff can be created from any Tier 7 or higher wood staff at a runecrafting altar.
