Rigour is a prayer that was released on the 19 August 2010. It boosts Ranged by 20%, Defence by 25%, and requires 74 prayer to use. To unlock this prayer, the Scroll of Rigour must be purchased for 140,000 Dungeoneering tokens from Daemonheim.
Considering the boosts and prayer level required, this prayer may be considered the ranged equivalent of the melee prayer Piety.
The Rigour prayer currently grants the greatest increase to a player's ranged attack (+20%) , and can only be matched by combining Eagle Eye (+15%) and Amulet of zealots (+5%) although that will give a large prayer penalty (-8) and occupies the neck-wear slot. However, the Amulet of zealots and Eagle Eye are available in free-to-play while Rigour is not.
Rigour is needed for the untrimmed Completionist's cape.
Combat beta changes
After the combat update, the Rigour prayer will be unlocked by completing the Knight Waves Training, rather than buying it from the Rewards trader.

Trivia
- On the first day of release, the Rigour prayer was not working properly and did not increase damage dealt by ranged
- The colours in the icon for the prayer is the same as Eagle Eye (its weaker version), where Mystic Might and Augury have different colours
