The Mystic Lore prayer gives a temporary 10% boost to a player's Magic skill. It cannot be used in conjunction with any of the other prayers that provide a magic, ranged, attack, or strength bonus. It is the second prayer to which players have access that affects magic and the thirteenth prayer to which players have access. Since it invisibly increases the player's magic level, the player's magic accuracy and magic defence are thus increased; however, this boost does not allow the player to cast additional spells or deal bonus damage.
Trivia
- Shortly after the prayer skill update on 25 March 2009, while turning this prayer on it would say in the chat box that this prayer was members only, soon after it would turn on.
