The blisterwood staff is a weapon released as a reward along with the Blisterwood polearm and the Blisterwood stakes from The Branches of Darkmeyer. It is fletched from blisterwood logs. All three weapons require 70 Fletching to make. The staff requires 70 Magic. You can also get Strange Rocks from making this weapon. The staff is the first of its kind to use particle effects to create a glowing pulse emanating from the top of it.

An example of the damage that can be done with the staff

While casting magic with this staff, the bonus damage effect from blisterwood weapons on vampyres will boost the damage of your spells despite the fact you are not actually hitting them with the wood. It is possible to hit in the low 900s with ice barrage while wearing maximum gear. Using the Storm of Armadyl spell a player can hit damage over 1000 lifepoints. Cremating vyre corpses does slightly increase its stats.<ref>Mod Ana. "Ivandis Flail". 01-Sep-2011 12:37:57. RuneScape Forums. Original thread*</ref>

Trivia

  • This weapon can be made on Entrana by smuggling blisterwood logs and knife to the island and making it there.
  • Considering the staff is cheap and has a high accuracy plus a magical damage multiplier, this is a good alternative for less wealthy players. However, players with the requirements for The Branches of Darkmeyer should not find the staff of light too expensive.
