The Sacred clay staff is a weapon obtained as a reward from Stealing Creation. It offers the same bonuses as a Mystic staff without providing any type of unlimited rune of element. Most players do not use it since it does not provide infinite runes of any element unlike elemental staves, but hybrids may still find it useful as it can change into a sacred clay scimitar or sacred clay bow.
Like other sacred clay weapons, when casting offensive spells this staff uses its charges to give double experience. However, Jagex made a recent update in which the staff uses charges when using any of the 3 melee styles in combat. When used in conjunction with other sacred clay items, the charges last longer. The first percent of charge is registered as used once you enter combat for the first time.
Strength Pures may find this staff useful as it gives a large strength and crush bonus whilst requiring no attack or strength levels to use, although it requires 40 Magic to wield.

Trivia
- If this staff is used in conjunction with the Chocotrice cape, the middle of the staff will clip and stick into the cape.
- This staff has the same appearance as the level 5 staff used in the Stealing Creation activity.
- The staff is extremely similar in shape to Saruman's (Tolkien's Lord of the Ring's character) staff in a poster for The Two Towers.
- The bonus XP earned from the staff does NOT work in Fist of Guthix
- Once out of charges, the staff can no longer transform into a scimitar or bow.
