Examine | Runite crossbow bolts. |
Weight | 0 kg |
Runite bolts are the strongest non-gem-tipped metal crossbow bolts, and may only be shot from a rune crossbow or a chaotic crossbow. Runite bolts may be created by members. First, a player must smith unfinished runite bolts. This requires a Smithing level of 88, and for each Rune bar that player smiths they will get 10 unfinished runite bolts and 75 Smithing experience. Then a player must attach flights to the bolts. Attaching flights to each bolt requires a Fletching level of 69 and 1 feather, granting 10 Fletching experience per bolt.
Those bolts are also a common drop from steel dragons, and a common reward from a level 3 clue scroll.
Runite bolts may be tipped with dragonstone or onyx. To tip the bolts with dragonstone, a player must have a Fletching level of 71 and use dragon bolt tips with the runite bolts, granting 8.2 Fletching experience for each dragonstone bolt tip attached and making the runite bolts into dragon bolts. To tip the bolts with onyx, a player must have a Fletching level of 73 and use onyx bolt tips with the runite bolts, granting 9.4 Fletching experience for each onyx bolt tip attached and making the runite bolts into onyx bolts. Onyx bolt tips can be obtained from killing the TzHaar. Onyx bolt tips can also be obtained as a common reward from level 4 Clue Scrolls. Poisoned, P+ and P++ runite bolts are nearly unsellable on the grand exchange.
