Royal bolts are ammo for the Royal crossbow, obtainable from the Queen Black Dragon herself. They cannot be poisoned, unlike most other bolts. To fire these bolts players must have 85 Ranged, which is the requirement to wield the royal crossbow. They have a Ranged strength of +125, the highest of all bolts tied with Bakriminel bolts and are tied third for highest of all ammunition, only after the hand cannon shot and Morrigan's javelin. They can be picked up by Ava's devices.

Trivia

• They have a similar look to a Coral bolt, except that the top is red, not blue.
• Despite being called a bolt, they look as long as arrows and are unfeathered.
• Royal bolts used to be dropped by mature grotworms, but they were taken off their drop table on 7 August.
