Examine | Enchanted Diamond tipped Adamantite Crossbow Bolts. |
Weight | 0 kg |
Enchanted diamond bolts are adamant bolts tipped with enchanted diamond. Diamond bolts can be enchanted by using the spell Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Diamond) by a player with 57 Magic. The spell enchants 10 diamond bolts per cast and uses 2 Law runes, 1 Cosmic rune, and 10 Earth runes.
Enchanted diamond bolts have an Armour piercing enchantment. On hits when the enchantment activates, the bolts will negate a sizable portion of their target's defence bonuses against Ranged. This also raises the player's max hit, but whether or not it increases the damage dealt is unknown. A crystalline, tinkling sound can be heard when this activates.
If the player has completed the Seers' Village Tasks, there is a speculated two-fold increase of the likelihood that the special effect of an enchanted bolt will occur. This effect is always active regardless if the headband is equipped.
This attack is very useful against Metal Dragons and many boss monsters, such as TzTok-Jad, Kree'arra, The Barrows Brothers, and some quest bosses such as the Decaying Avatar in Nomad's Requiem and Nomad himself. It also has a good use in PvP, as it levels the playing field between Defence-suppressed Pures and players who have a better Defence stat, since players with a better Defence typically wear better armour.

Trivia
- These bolts are superior for boss hunting due to the bolts' special attack that can negate part of the opponent's defence, making hitting hard not a problem.
