Guam seeds can be planted in a herb patch in order to produce grimy guams. This requires a Farming level of 9.

A nearby gardener will not watch over your growing guam.

Grimy guams are the fourth cheapest herbs in RuneScape. Supercompost or Fertile Soil spell is strongly advised against, as although this is the best way of preventing your herbs from getting disease, and it is not possible to water the patch, or ask a farmer to tend the herbs, they both cost more than the maximum yield of herbs.

Guam seeds may be bought from the Vinesweeper minigame for 10 points each.

The following table shows the profit yield, assuming all the herbs and seeds are purchased/sold at the Grand Exchange, for the guide price. If the herb dies, you will lose   −5 coins.

Herb yield Profit/loss Herb yield Profit/loss
1   516 6   3,121
2   1,037 7   3,642
3   1,558 8   4,163
4   2,079 9   4,684
5   2,600 10   5,205

Note: Supercompost yields a minimum of 5 herbs.
