Snapdragon seeds can be planted in a herb patch in order to produce grimy snapdragons. This requires a Farming level of 62.
A nearby gardener will not watch over your growing snapdragon.
Snapdragon seeds can be obtained as a monster drop, by pickpocketing Master Farmers, from Managing Miscellania if your workers are assigned to Farming, as a one time purchase off Thaerisk Cemphier, looting a magpie or dragon impling, or bought from the Vinesweeper minigame for 16000 points each.
Planting snapdragon seeds can be profitable as long as the player takes precautions to minimise disease. The use of Supercompost (or Fertile Soil spell) is strongly recommended to help prevent disease and increase the average yield to where a decent profit can be made.
The following table shows the profit yield, assuming all the herbs and seeds are purchased/sold at the Grand Exchange, for the guide price. If the herb dies, you will lose −26,078 coins.
Herb yield | Profit/loss | Herb yield | Profit/loss |
1 | −20,418 | 7 | 13,542 |
2 | −14,758 | 8 | 19,202 |
3 | −9,098 | 9 | 24,862 |
4 | −3,438 | 10 | 30,522 |
5 | 2,222 | 11 | 36,182 |
6 | 7,882 | 12 | 41,842 |
Note: Supercompost yields a minimum of 5 herbs. A juju farming potion gives a one in three chance of picking twice the amount of herbs from a herb patch for five minutes.
