The Adamant javelin is a member's only Ranged throwing weapon that is rarely used for combat. To wield one the player must have at least 30 Ranged. They can be obtained by exchanging Archery tickets for them at the Ranging Guild (292 tickets for 20 javelins), trading with another player, or as a monster drop. The adamant javelin can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection.

Many players prefer to use crossbows instead of javelins as they are cheaper and more efficient.
