The Adamant square shield is the third-best standard square shield. Players with level 78 Smithing can smith one using two Adamant bars. Doing so yields 125 Smithing experience. It is rarely seen due to the fact few players have a high enough Smithing level to make one.

Adamant square shields are a possible drop from two mountain trolls named Kraka and Pee Hat. Both are located in Death Plateau. It is also a drop from Iron dragons. This item is also used in the completion of a clue as part of a Hard level Treasure trail.
