The Adamant spikeshield is a reward that can be purchased with 50 tokens from the Fist of Guthix minigame. It costs 5 tokens to recharge. It degrades with use, like Barrows equipment. It can only be traded when completely uncharged. It requires 35 Defence to wield. If you notice the bonuses of an adamant spikeshield, they are actually less compared to an adamant kiteshield (not counting the strength bonus). But one strength bonus-point can be easily be replaced by a higher strength level, a strong weapon, or adamant gauntlets, which you can also buy at the Fist of Guthix for a price of 100 Fist of Guthix tokens. As a result, most players prefer to use the adamant kiteshield or an adamant berserker shield which is actually better compared to the adamant kiteshield.
