Bat masks are obtained as rewards from level 2 clue scrolls in treasure trails.
Bat masks came as part of the 15 April 2008 treasure trail update, together with other animal masks, the top hat and Canes .
This mask gives no stat bonuses, players wear it to show off they have it or because they like the appearance.

Trivia
- The examine text of the Bat Mask is a line from and possible reference to the song "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by the gothic rock band Bauhaus. [1]
- The examine text is also a possible reference to the saying 'bats in the belfry', meaning that someone is insane or crazy. A belfry is the same as a belltower.
