The Water talisman is an item that allows players to enter the water altar located southwest of Lumbridge and southeast of Draynor Village in the swamps. It can be combined with a tiara to make a water tiara for 30 experience at the water altar by using the tiara on the altar. The tiara can be used in just the same way and can be worn. Both the tiara and the talisman allow players to use the Runecrafting skill.

This talisman can be used to create combination runes.

A water talisman is used in conjunction with an air talisman as tertiary items in creating an ice titan pouch and as tertiary item for a geyser titan pouch.

Water talismans may also be purchased from the Runecrafting Guild for 50 Tokens each.

The water talisman is required in 2 Lumbridge Tasks: making at least 1 rune, and making 100 runes at the same time.

The Water talisman can be used on the wicked hood, giving the hood two free teleports to the water altar, and 100 free water runes every day. This will consume the talisman.

Water Altar Location

The Water altar is located in the southern area of the Lumbridge Swamp, near the Lumbridge Swamp Caves.

Monster drops

Various monsters occasionally drop the water talisman. They are uncommon drops from Icefiends, Wizards, Dark wizards, and Big frogs, all of which are relatively easy for lower-level players to kill. It is not recommended to kill water wizards as it is a rare drop from them. Players who can use the Fairy rings can kill Abyssal leeches in the Abyssal Area, as these often drop talismans of various types, including water talismans. The other abyssal creatures other than the abyssal demon also drop water talismans, but the leech is the easiest to kill. Also Dagannoth Kings drop them 6-88 noted.

They are also received as drops in the Lumbridge Catacombs, where level 13 Corpse archer, level 14 Skoblins and level 15 Corpse Mages drop them as rare drops.

High-level players can kill Waterfiends for water talismans, as it is an uncommon drop for them. This is not recommended unless the player is also interested in obtaining the other valuable drops of waterfiends, as it can be time consuming to kill these monsters and also expensive for many players since prayer potions likely need to be used. High level players interested only in water talismans will find they can kill weaker creatures like icefiends or big frogs much quicker and at no expense.

Glacors, accessible after completion of The Ritual of the Mahjarrat, commonly drop noted water talismans.
