Medium pouches are bags that can hold six of rune essence or pure essence for use in the Runecrafting skill. This item requires level 25 Runecrafting to use. This item is dropped by Abyssal monsters.
This is the fourth best Runecrafting Pouch that can be obtained.
After its 44th use, the pouch will degrade and hold only 3 essence. Further uses degrade the capacity even more. To repair the pouch so it can hold the maximum of six essence again, you must speak to the Dark Mage located in the centre of the Abyss. You can also drop this item and get a new one from Wizard Korvak in the Runecrafting Guild. Note: that if you try the drop trick to get more than one pouch from Korvak, he will give you a new pouch but will not allow you to pick up the dropped pouch, saying you can only have one pouch at a time.
Dropping the pouch while it contains essence will be lost. A message will pop and tells the player: "The contents of the pouch fell out as you dropped it!".
Note: This item is one of the Items Not Kept on Death.
