The Salve amulet raises the wearer's attack and strength 15% while attacking undead monsters. It is useful for training combat in the fourth level of the Stronghold of Security because of the many undead there. It is a reward for the Haunted Mine quest. Two or more salve amulets can be obtainable by doing the Drop trick: make the amulet in the Abandoned Mine, drop it, cutting a new crystal there, make another amulet, and then pick up the dropped amulet.

To make the salve amulet, a Ball of wool must be added to the Salve shard obtained from cutting the Crystal outcrops with a chisel located at the bottom level of the Abandoned Mine. The Lunar spell String Jewellery can also be used in place of balls of wool.

A salve amulet may be improved into an enchanted Salve amulet (e) by completing the The Lair of Tarn Razorlor miniquest. The enchanted version gives a 20% bonus instead of 15%.

For players on undead Slayer assignments, the boosts of a salve amulet do not stack with the effects of a Black mask or Slayer helmet. Only one (the bigger boost) will be effective. However it does stack with melee Void Knight equipment.
