Akrisae's robe skirt is part of Akrisae the Doomed's set of barrows equipment that requires 70 Magic, 70 Defence, 70 Prayer and 70 Attack to equip. This item is only obtained by players who have completed Ritual of the Mahjarrat and loot the chest at the Barrows minigame. Players may also buy this item from players who have completed the quest. It has the same prayer bonus as a proselyte tasset. It should be noted that this item has higher Defence then a proselyte tasset in every category except for Ranged and slash Defence.
Wearing a full set of Akrisae's equipment, which includes Akrisae's hood, Akrisae's robe top, and Akrisae's war mace randomly restores the players Prayer Points equal to roughly 1/3rd of the total damage, and during Player killing situations drains the opponent's prayer at the same time. A smaller prayer drain of roughly 1 point every 15-20 second also occurs, even after battle. The set effect is comparable to Guthan the Infested, but it restores Prayer instead of Life points.

Repair
Barrows equipment degrades as it is used. Equipment received from the Barrows minigame is fully repaired and can be used for 15 hours of combat until it degrades completely and requires repair before it can be used again. Barrows armour degrades even if the player is using protection prayers or not taking damage. Unlike the crystal shield and crystal bow, Barrows equipment does not suffer in performance as it degrades from fully repaired to broken. Fully repaired Barrows items start out with no numbers in their names, e.g. Karil's crossbow. It would become Karil's crossbow 100 the first time it's used in combat. Eventually it would degrade to Karil's crossbow 75, then 50, then 25 and finally 0 at which point the weapon would break and be unusable until repaired. Additionally, Barrows equipment may only be traded if fully repaired or fully broken.
When dropped or lost on death (even when placed under a gravestone), any piece of Barrows equipment will automatically degrade to 0. Players who attempt to drop Barrows equipment will receive a warning message about this.
There are two ways to repair Barrows armour. Players can talk to any of the NPCs listed below and they will repair the items for a price. Alternatively, players can repair the pieces themselves using an armour stand in any player-owned house. The equipment can be repaired at any stage of degrade, and the cost will be adjusted according to how much it has degraded. The repair costs below are as if the equipment has fully degraded.
The following NPCs can repair the armour:
- Bob - the axe seller in Lumbridge
- Tindel Marchant - the weapon and armour repairman at Port Khazard
- Dunstan - the smith in Burthorpe
- Squire - in the workshop area of the Void Knights' Outpost

Trivia
- On the day of release, the Runescape Knowledge Base incorrectly stated that Akrisae's Robe Skirt gave players a Magic Damage bonus, instead of the actual Magic Absorb. This lead to several players paying enormous amounts for the armour, as it would have been the only mage robes in the game to do so.
- At the release time, Runescape Knowledge Base incorrectly states that Akrisae's robe skirt and Akrisae's robe top has exactly same stats as Verac's plateskirt and Verac's brassard respectively.
