The Corrupt dragon chainbody was released on 15 October 2008 along with the PvP worlds. It is the strongest chainbody available to non-members, but it crumbles to dust after 30 minutes of wearing it. It requires 60 Defence to wear.

Most free players choose not to use this due to the high cost of the item. However, in a player vs. player situation, it is the only armour known to be able to adequately defend on its own against the Gravite 2h sword.

Players can receive this item either by trading with another player, or receiving it as a very rare drop from killing Revenants or the Chaos Elemental.
