The Corrupt dragon longsword was released on 15 October 2008 along with the PvP worlds. It is the strongest longsword available to Free-to-play, but it crumbles to dust after 30 minutes of wielding. It requires 60 Attack to wield.
Players can receive this item either by trading with another player, or by receiving it as a very rare drop from killing Revenants or the Chaos Elemental.
When a player is killed with the degraded version of this weapon, roughly half of the Grand Exchange market price is dropped instead of the longsword, as you cannot trade the degraded version. (e.g. if the market price was 1.3 million coins, a person who killed another player with the degraded version would receive around 600,000 - 700,000 coins)
The maximum hit with this weapon in F2P is 334 with the highest strength bonuses possible there.
The corrupt dragon longsword does not require completion of the Lost City quest to wield, and does not have a special attack in either F2P or P2P servers.
The corrupt dragon longsword is the third most expensive corrupt dragon weapon, ahead of the Corrupt dragon spear, but behind the Corrupt dragon scimitar and Corrupt dragon battleaxe.
- As 30 minutes contains 3000 ticks, you are able to hit 600 hits with this sword before it crumbles into dust. Thus, each hit landed using this longsword is worth approximately 1,425 coins.

Trivia
- Although the regular Dragon Longsword was changed on 28 July 2009, the corrupt version was not changed until later. The current version is now identical to the non-corrupt version except it is darker.
- The Grand Exchange price for this longsword was approximately 100,000 coins when it was released.
- Unlike their non-corrupt counterparts, the corrupt dragon items have no special attack.
- The Corrupt Dragon longsword is much more expensive than it's non-corrupt counterpart, due to the high demand and rarity of this becoming a drop.
