A player wearing Akrisae's set.

Akrisae the Doomed's equipment is a Barrows weapon and armour set, and is obtained through the Grand Exchange, by giving individual items to a Grand Exchange clerk in exchange for the set. It can also be obtained by killing the Barrows Brothers after the player completed Ritual of the Mahjarrat.

The set requires 70 Magic, 70 Prayer, 70 Attack, and also 70 Defence. On top of these requirements, you need to have completed the Grandmaster quest Ritual of the Mahjarrat to be able to wear and potentially receive pieces of the set as rewards from Barrows. The set contains Akrisae's war mace, Akrisae's hood, Akrisae's robe top, and Akrisae's robe skirt and it degrades over time like all Barrows armour until it reaches 0, which gives no stat bonuses.

In terms of Magic (compared to Ahrim's set) Akrisae the Doomed's robes have lower magical accuracy, and about the same defensive bonuses. Akrisae's robes do NOT offer Magic Damage bonuses; this confusion was likely caused by people reading the magic absorption percentage as magic damage percentage. The mace, however, does have a 10% magic damage bonus, and the full set also has large Prayer bonuses. In terms of Melee, the crush attack and strength bonuses are similar to Verac's/Torag's/Guthan's, but the armour is significantly less in defence (aside from its magic defence). As a result, this armour is best suited to swapping between magic and melee to hit around protection prayers, or for any activity that would require extensive amounts of prayer, because of its set effect. It can best be described as a magic prayer set with exceptionally good melee stats.

Set effect

A player activating Akrisae's set, Doom.

Doom: Melee and Magic attacks have a chance to restore some of your prayer points. This effect is similar to the Guthan's replenishing set effect, but in terms of Prayer.

The effect saps opponents' prayer points, while boosting your own. (However, it is unknown whether the prayer points of the opponent, in PvM situations, are drained or whether the player's prayer points just get increased. This may be useful in situations like fighting Elite Black Knights). The effect is seemingly random and drains the prayer of an opponent by 1/3 of the damage hit and boosts your prayer by 1/5. It also appears that the prayer drain lasts even out of combat as the opponent loses 1 prayer point every 30 – 50 seconds until they run out.
