Magic potions are made by mixing clean lantadyme and then potato cactus in a vial of water, giving 172.5 Herblore experience. It requires level 76 Herblore.
Magic potions temporarily raise a player's Magic level by 5. As of the 17 November 2009 update, each magic level boost above the player's base magic level inflicts an extra 3% magic damage, so at the full 5-level boost of the potion magic damage is increased by 15%. This increase stacks with the increased magic damage certain staves inflict (such as the staff of light).
This potion may be dropped by the Possessed Priest boss during the quest Icthlarin's Little Helper.
With 91 Herblore, adding a ground mud rune to this potion will produce an Extreme magic potion.
However, due to a Patch Notes update by Jagex on 6th November, drinking magic potions now require 36 herblore.
Production

Flask
This potion can be made into a Magic flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks.
