A Tarromin potion (unf) (more commonly called an Unfinished tarromin potion) is an unfinished potion made via the Herblore skill. Players make it by using a clean tarromin on a vial of water.

It is used to make the strength potion at level 12 by adding a limpwurt root. At 52 Herblore, this potion is used to make a shrink-me-quick potion used in the quest Grim Tales, by adding a shrunk ogleroot. Serum 207 (used in the Shades of Mort'ton quest) also can be made from a Tarromin Potion by adding ashes, requiring an Herblore level of at least 15.

Level Potion Secondary Ingredient XP Cost Cost/XP
12 Strength Potion Limpwurt Root 50   −347   −6.94
15 Serum 207 Ashes 50   −396   −7.92
52 Shrink-me-quick Shrunk Ogleroot 6   −160   −26.666666666667

These costs are calculated based on buying the Unfinished Tarromin potions premade, allowing you to skip the step of putting Clean Tarromins in Vials of Water. This is much more expensive than the "normal" way. (The extra loss is   −49 per potion, but it doubles the XP/hour.) For the main calculators, see the individual product pages.

Making Serum 207 for the cheaper cost/XP and faster XP/hour has the distinct disadvantage of not being able to be withdrawn as a note nor sold to any store. Therefore if you aren't willing to sacrifice a bank slot for them, you must drop them one-by-one.
