Examine | A mithril grapple tip. |
Weight | 0 kg |
Mithril grapple tips are used to make a mithril grapples which are used with Agility on objects such as Strong trees and Rocks, or even scale walls. Grapples are wielded in the arrow slot and used with a crossbow. Sometimes grapples may break (though this is rare to happen) so it is a good idea to have more than one available.
Level 59 smithing is required to smith the mithril grapple tip from mithril bars. Each tip is made from one bar. Level 59 fletching is required to attach the tips to mithril bolts. Finally a rope is used on the unfinished mithril grapple to make a complete mithril grapple, usable with grapple shortcuts. Grapples are tradeable at every stage of construction. Making a mithril grapple tip grants 50 xp.
Note:
- Although the level on the left is the required Ranged level, grappling also requires Agility and Strength (listed in parentheses with the obstacle).
- A mithril grapple is also required to enter the Armadyl area of the God Wars Dungeon. This requires 70 Ranged. It is also used in the Bandos Throne Room agility course.
- A bug has arisen recently where tasks involving grapples are no longer unlocked by completing them. This is since the Hidey-Hole update. This is very frustrating for taskhunters who are trying to complete tasks in the task system.
