The Law Altar

Outside the Law altar.

The Law Altar may be found on the northeastern side of Entrana. It is used to craft law runes from pure essence, providing 9.5 Runecrafting experience.

Please note that as the altar is found on Entrana, no weapons, armour, familiars, summoning pouches, or summoning scrolls can be taken to the altar by any means possible. See the list of equipment for the complete list of allowed and banned items.

Access

As with most other runecrafting altars, it can be accessed via the Abyss. Players could also enter its ruins by using a law talisman or an Omni-talisman. Players could also simply click on the ruins while wearing a law tiara, Omni-tiara, a wicked hood imbued with any of the above, an Omni-talisman staff, or a law talisman staff.

Currently, the fastest way to get there is to used the Wicked hood's teleport, which could only be used 2 times, or 3 if all the Wicked robes have been purchased from the Runespan. The second fastest way is to break a law altar teleport tablet. Both of these methods teleport the player just outside of the altar. The wicked hood can be obtained by talking to Tam McGrubor, and the teleport tablets by playing the Great Orb Project.

Experience

The maximum likely limit for crafting Law runes in one visit is 246. This would be achieved by having 54 Runecrafting, and carrying 246 essence to craft (23 in the normal inventory along with 48 in the 5 sizes of Runecrafting pouches, along with 175 claimed from the wicked hood (if all the Wicked robes have been purchased), whilst wearing an explorer's ring (which has a 1 in 10 chance of producing an extra rune per essence, however it cannot be brought into Entrana). The maximum possible experience is 2,337 obtained while doing the above.

Tiaras

A law tiara may be created at this altar by having a law talisman and a normal tiara in your inventory. The player must use the tiara on the altar. Doing so will earn 47.5 Runecrafting experience.

• Inside the altar, the floor has a pattern which looks like a scale, one of the two items held by Lady Justice, whose likeness is found on many courts of law.
• Using the orb of occulus, one can see the nature altar to the west, the body altar to the east, and the kiss the frog random event to the south.
• The Law altar was built by the Moon Clan, which was then a faction of the Fremennik mountain tribe. It is believed to have been built upon the very spot where Saradomin first set foot upon Gielinor in the Second Age.
