The Amulet of magic is an amulet used most commonly by mages as it provides an excellent Magic attack bonus for its ease of attainability, making it the second least expensive amulet crafted by players. It is created by casting Enchant Level 1 Jewellery on a sapphire amulet. See the article on how to make an amulet.

In fact, the Amulet of magic has a magic attack bonus on par with much more expensive amulets such as Amulet of glory and Amulet of fury, and is only beaten by the 3rd age amulet and dungeoneering amulets in terms of power. This contributes to its popularity among both free players and members.

A trimmed Amulet of magic is a possible reward for the completion of level 1 Treasure Trails, offering the same bonuses as the original amulet. Davon in Brimhaven buys Amulets of magic. He used to offer prices higher than the market price at the Grand Exchange and even offered better prices if the player was wearing any pair of Karamja gloves, but this is no longer the case. This amulet was the best mage amulet for F2P, until the release of Arcane blast necklace.
