A Crafting cape can be purchased for 99,000 coins alongside the Crafting hood from Master Crafter at the Crafting Guild by players who have achieved skill mastery (level 99) in Crafting. It is the Cape of Accomplishment for the Crafting skill. Crafting capes are brown in colour, and have a yellow-golden trim if the player has more than one level 99 skill. The Crafting cape can be used to enter the Crafting Guild without the need of wearing a Brown apron.

The Crafting cape is a moderate sign of wealth, but due to the large variety of ways to train the skill, players have many options in regards to their training. Many players choose to make Green d'hide bodies to 99, which, from level 70-99, would result in a loss of approximately 33,320,000 coins. However, there are several other methods providing a greater or smaller loss or even profit. Experience rates also vary, and can reach up to 800,000xp/hour while cutting Onyx, though this is not recommended as it can result in astronomical losses.

The cape also has an emote, lasting 7.73 seconds, during which the player crafts a Wooden cat. The Crafting cape must be equipped in order to perform this emote.

Should a player have another level 99, the Crafting cape will become a Crafting cape (t). The trimmed version has a yellow trim and adds a +4 Prayer bonus to the cape's original stats. Should a player have another level 99 while achieving this cape, the cape received will automatically be the Crafting cape (t).
