Third-age range legs are a members-only piece of third age armour that are part of the Third age ranger set. To wear the legs, 45 Defence and 65 Ranged are needed. Third age range legs can be either obtained by chance with the completion of a Level 3 Treasure trail, bought from another player, or bought from the Grand Exchange. It cannot be made using the Crafting skill. It is rarely used due to its high price. It is mostly used to show wealth, as its stats are almost identical to the Black dragonhide chaps .
It was long thought that the chance of obtaining a piece of third-age armour was about 1 in 10,000 (according to Paul Gower); it was revealed that the odds are between 1/100,000 and 1/1,000,000.<ref>Mod Maylea.
