The Third-age full helmet is a members-only piece of armour that is part of the Third age warrior set. To wear the helmet the player needs at least 65 Defence. To obtain a third age full helmet the player can either complete a Level 3 Treasure trail , trade with another player, or buy in the Grand Exchange. It used to be the best non-degrading defensive helmet in the game until the Bandos helmet although many players prefer a Helm of neitiznot for the prayer and strength bonus and barrows helms for defense (although they degrade, most players have a easier time buying a 100k item and spending a couple thousand coins a hour on repairs for the superior def then 40m)
It was revealed that the odds of getting a piece of third-age armour are between 1/100,000 and 1/1,000,000.<ref>Mod Maylea. "Treasure Trails Q&A Answers!". 28th of September 2010. News & Announcements Forums. *</ref>

Trivia
- When the Dragon full helmet first came out, its stats beat the third age full helmet's original stats by about 2 in each section. Jagex then updated the third age helm so that it is slightly stronger than the Dragon full helmet.
- The Third Age full helmet closely resembles helmets worn by post-Alexander era Macedonians.
