Ranging potions are made by mixing clean dwarf weed and then wine of Zamorak in a vial of water, giving 162.5 Herblore experience. It requires level 72 Herblore to make.

Using a ranged potion temporarily raises the player's Ranged level by 4-13 (4 + 10% of the player's level, rounded down).

It is sometimes difficult to buy ranging potions on the Grand Exchange even at a high price, because of demand by players training the Ranged skill. However, demand is not always constant, and sometimes the potions are available at or even below their average price.

Flask

This potion can be made into a Ranging flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks.

Production costs

This table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of a vial of water, the dwarf weed, and wine of zamorak. It is accurate assuming all three items are bought from the Grand Exchange and the Super ranging potion is sold afterwards.

Trivia

• When a ranging potion is made, dwarf weed is combined with Wine of Zamorak. Though the Wine's graphic shows a jug, no jug is left behind after creating the potion. This is probably because it is automatically thrown away.
• Compared to attack, strength and defence potions, there is no super ranging potion, although there is an Extreme ranging potion, similar to magic potion and extreme magic potion.
