A Restore potion restores 10-39 points on Defence, Attack, Strength, Magic, Ranged, Prayer and Constitution (the skills, not Prayer Points and Lifepoints) when the level in one of these skills has been temporarily reduced (for example by the effects of disease). It restores each stat by roughly 40% of the user's level in that stat, and will always restore between 10 and 39 points, unless that would put the user's stat as higher than their level in that skill.
Members can make a restore potion by mixing Clean harralander into a vial of water and then adding red spiders' eggs. This requires level 22 Herblore, and grants 62.5 experience. Adding roe or caviar to a 2-dose potion will turn it into a 2-dose restore mix, which heals 30 life points.
Because this potion is P2P only, there's no way to quickly restore stats in F2P. Dying will quickly reset stats, and is best done near a player's respawn location unless they are carrying 3 or less items, 4 with the Protect Item prayer.
A super restore potion restores a much larger variety of skills than a restore potion. This includes restoring disease, summoning points and prayer points, none of which a normal restore potion will do.
One example of a use for a restore potion is when in conjunction with the dragon battleaxe special attack. While raising the user's strength level, the special attack lowers the user's attack and defence levels. As the restore potion only returns reduced stats to normal while ignoring boosted stats, a sip of restore potion in conjunction with this special attack would result in the favourable strength boost, with no adverse effects.
Production costs
This table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of a vial of water, the harralander, and red spiders' eggs. It is accurate assuming all three items are bought from the Grand Exchange and the Restore potion is sold afterwards.
