Mines and mining sites

Mines and mining sites are areas where ores for Mining can be found. These may be above ground (sites) or under ground (mines) and are scattered in fair number around Gielinor. Some of these locations are accessible only after certain quests are complete, some are members only.

Standard mines

The table below lists the mines that contain any of the 'standard' ore rocks: clay, copper, tin, iron, silver, coal, gold, mithril, adamantite, and runite. See 'Other mines' below for mines that contain other types of mineable rocks.

Other mines

The living rock caverns, home of concentrated ores and mighty living rock creatures.

• The Asgarnian Ice Dungeon mine is a mine with Blurite rocks.
• Arandar also has a limestone quarry.
• The Limestone quarry is a mine with Limestone.
• The Living Rock Caverns boast concentrated coal and concentrated gold, which allow more than one ore to be mined per rock.
• The Lunar Isle Mine has gem rocks and essence.
• The Quarry in the Western desert also has Granite and Sandstone rocks in addition to its clay and coal rocks. This location is affected by Desert heat.
• Meiyerditch mine is the only location where Daeyalt veins, and therefore Daeyalt ore, are located. The only way to access this mine is to get caught by a vyrewatch and choose to option to go to the mine.
• The Rune Essence mine can be mined for rune essence and pure essence.
• Shilo Village mining site has a few gem rocks.
• Stone slabs can be mined during and after the TokTz-Ket-Dill quest in the TzHaar mine. The slabs have no use other than in the quest or for building the volcanic habitat in your POH Menagerie.
• Witchaven mine contains many Rubium veins.
