Miasmic Rush was released by Jagex on 15 October, 2008. The spell requires a Magic level of 61 and can do a maximum of 180 life points per spell, making it the strongest rush spell. In addition, any players affected by the spell will attack with melee or ranged 50% slower (weapon attack speed cut in half) for 12 seconds. As with all Ancient Magicks spells, the quest Desert Treasure must be completed to cast this spell. This is the weakest of the Miasmic spells and like all of them require Zuriel's staff, a rare weapon only obtainable from Revenant drops, to be casted. This makes it one of the only Ancient Magicks spells to require more than just runes to cast.
It is interesting to note, though, that to use it at level 61 you must use the corrupt version of the staff, as the regular version requires 78 magic to wield.
Remember, you cannot use Lunar Spells or Standard spells if you are using Ancient Magicks.

Due to the fact that Zuriel's staff degrades over time, an extra 739.2 coins should be added to the cost of each spell (assuming the non-corrupt version of the staff is used) for a total of 1,235.2.
Trivia
- The word "Miasmic" probably comes from "miasma", the gas that was believed to be responsible for plague and other diseases in 1700 Britain which actually didn't exist; plague was more due to rats and other vermin.
- "Miasmic" could also refer to the Ancient greek word 'miasma' which refered to blood polution from killing those taking shelter in a temple, or killing family.
