Shadow Rush requires a Magic level of 52 and can do a maximum of 140 damage per spell. It can also lower your opponent's Attack level by 10%. As with all Ancient Magicks spells, the quest Desert Treasure must be completed to cast this spell.
It is the weakest of the Shadow Spells. It is economically unwise to train with it, as it is quite expensive per cast.
Remember, you cannot use Lunar Spells or Standard spells if you are using Ancient Magicks.

Trivia
- The maximum hit used to be 16 hitpoints (the equivalent of 160 life points). However, this was changed by Jagex in January 2008.
- This is the lowest level spell that requires soul runes.
- If you cast this spell at a distance you can see that the spell's animation looks like a ghostly figure, much like the Shadow spells and the ghost room puzzle in Dungeoneering except the Shadow spells have a black version of the ghostly figure.
