Dharok the Wretched, abbreviated by players as DH, is the second oldest of the seven Barrows brothers. His attack style is melee, and the lower his health is, the harder he hits. Dharok attacks much slower than the other brothers (around the speed of a 2h sword), but he has the ability to hit up to 680 when he is at low health, and thus he is considered by most players to be one of the most dangerous of the Barrows brothers. It is strongly recommended that you watch your prayer extremely closely while fighting Dharok. If you are using magic, slayer dart works well, although a black salamander may be used as a substitute.

Due to his potency, many players choose to safe spot Dharok in the Tunnels of Barrows while using one of the many rocks as cover to mage behind. However this can be very dangerous if the player can't get the spot quickly, as Dharok can quickly kill the player. Others use Ancient Magicks spells, normally ice spells to kill him without risk. The normal practice is to go for Dharok first when your prayer is fully charged to make sure that the kill is safer. Some players use vengeance here to hit high damage on him, this is NOT recommended if you are uncomfortable with losing a lot of life points.

If your prayer runs out it is highly recommended you leave the crypt as Dharok can easily 2-hit any player at full health while his health is low due to his punishing wretched strength ability.

Trivia

• Dharok, along with all the other barrows brothers, received a graphical update on 4 January 2012 to make him look more like a player wearing his items rather than the old graphics style which displayed an unclear, purely pink coloured apparition. Moreover, his combat level was increased from 115 to 196.
• His laugh when draining your prayer points is comparable to the laughing voice of the evil laugh emote.
