Burthorpe and Taverley Tasks
The Burthorpe and Taverley tasks were released on 31 January 2012 with the rework of Burthorpe. There are 55 tasks, mostly as an introduction to membership. Non-members are able to complete 12 tasks of the set. They are designed to be done in a linear order, following the Troll Warzone storyline. However, high level players have the option to skip the storyline and do the tasks in any order.
Unlike other sets of tasks, there is only one difficulty level of tasks for this set, and there is no taskmaster. There are no skill requirements to complete any of the tasks.
While it's more convenient for members to get the necessary items from the NPCs they're surrounded by, non-members can get them from various spawning spots or buy them from the Grand Exchange.

Rewards
The task called Arise, Hero cannot be finished unless the tutorial is completed. To complete it, a player must talk to Major Nigel Corothers. If the player talks to him before finishing all other tasks, Major Corothers doesn't respond with the correct reply to start the cutscene. In this cutscene the player is introduced into The Order of the Talon, the group of skilled warriors that's protecting lands from trolls. The player also receives the following items as a reward for completing the Burthorpe/Taverley task set.
- 5 Varrock teleport tablets
- 5 Falador teleport tablets
- 5 Attack potions (4) (noted)
- 5 Strength potions (4) (noted)
- 5 Defence potions (4) (noted)
- 5 Prayer potions (4) (noted)
- 1 Steel full helm
Trivia
- Despite the fact that a rake and a seed dibber are members-only items, it's possible for non-members to finish the A Farmer in the Making task by simply adding a spade to their toolbelt. It's unknown whether this is a bug or not.
