The Willow longbow is a longbow stronger than the oak longbow which can use arrows up to and including mithril. The willow longbow requires a Ranged level of 20 or higher to wield. Players can purchase this bow from Lowe's Archery Emporium in Varrock.
Members can make a willow longbow using the Fletching skill at level 40. First, a player must cut an unstrung willow longbow from willow logs, which grants 41.5 Fletching experience. Then, the player must string the unstrung willow longbow with a bow string, which grants 41.5 experience.
However, players tend to not string these bows for fletching experience as the cost of the bow strings (Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". coins) are significantly higher than the cost of the Willow logs (Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". coins). Many players will use high level alchemy or get rid of the unstrung bows in other ways.
