Corpse mages are combat level 15 monsters. They are found in the second deepest room of the Lumbridge Catacombs.
The Lumbridge Catacombs can only be entered after doing The Blood Pact quest, and are accessible by both Free-to-Play and Pay-to-Play players. These monsters are great for beginners to train ranged on due to the fact that they drop bronze arrows and have somewhat good drops (talismans, enchanted amulets and runes). They are ideal for pures who don't mind obtaining level 2 defence to train on, as they deal a maximum of 1 lifepoint of damage. Their attacks extremely rarely hit and are not dangerous in any armour what so ever. A level 4 account can defeat them without getting hit.
Corpse mages are good training for low-levelled players that don't want to take much damage. A player with 10+ Defence can fight them without food. The downside to this is that the Corpse mage room is very crowded and their LP is too low to effectively train on them past level 30. They are a good source of runes for higher free players. Corpse mages are also an easy target to kill and to get xp, mostly because their max hit is 1.

Trivia
- After the hit-splats update, the Corpse Mages' maximum hit is 1 (previously 0), it is unknown if this is a mistake or done intentionally.
