Leather boots are basic boots worn on the Feet that offer slight bonuses to defence. Players can make this item through the Crafting skill at level 7 from a soft leather, giving 16.25 Crafting experience. It can also be found while big net fishing.
They respawn in the following places:
- In the Lumbridge Castle basement - 2 spawns; one just behind the ladder and one just ahead of the gap leading to the main basement.
- In the Wizards Tower - 3 spawns
- Al Kharid, house north-west of the General store - 1 spawn.
- If you're a member, you can also obtain leather boots from Big Net Fishing.
- The weapon storage room from the Shield of Arrav quest - 1 spawn.
They are also randomly found in crates and boxes around RuneScape.
There is a stock of 10 of them at Thessalia's Fine Clothes and at Lowe's Archery Emporium. Players who have completed the Digsite quest can obtain them from the tool rack in the Varrock Museum (but they will need to drop the boots to obtain more than one).
These, along with fighting/fancy, swanky and racing boots, are only f2p boots(except dungeoneering and event boots).

Trivia
- In the Mage Training Arena it is possible to alch these for 30 GP which is 10 times more than their regular alch price.
- After the Sea Slug quest, talk to Katherine and she'll ask if you will get her leather boots from the surface.
- Currently, there is a visual glitch that causes adamant armour to change lighter in color when worn with these boots. This only happens to the adamant armour. nl:Leather boots
