The torva platebody is a platebody obtainable as a drop from Nex, the Zaros God Wars Dungeon boss and is part of the Torva armour set. It requires 80 Defence, Constitution, and Strength to be worn. When worn, it increases a player's maximum life points by 200. This does not increase current life points or constitution level. Wearing this platebody or any other piece of ancient armour will make all four factions in the God Wars Dungeon unaggressive.

It lasts for a duration of 10 hours of combat before degrading completely, and then may be repaired by Bob in Lumbridge or at a Player owned house armour stand. It should be noted that the platebody does not degrade in increments, and its stats stay the same until the 10 hours are up. It costs 20,000 coins each percentage (2 million for full repair) to have the platebody repaired at Bob's Brilliant Axes, or 10,000 coins each percentage (1 million for full repair) at an armour stand with 99 Smithing.

Pieces of the torva set are only tradeable when they are fully repaired. At the time of release, repairing the set would leave the individual pieces untradeable, but this has since been fixed. However, for some players, this bug still occurs.

Max, the seller of the max cape can be seen wearing the Torva platebody, along with a pair of torva platelegs, max cape, dragon boots and a pair of Barrows gloves.

• On 19 July 2011, the platebody's price suddenly fell to a price of 116m. It then returned to its normal price in a short amount of time. The cause of this was a fault in RuneScape's servers.
• Torva is a Latin word meaning savage, wild.
• Whenever Nex drops a piece of torva, pernix, or virtus armour, a server-wide announcement is broadcast to all players currently logged into that particular world.
