Tansymum grows west of Oo'glog. During and after the quest As a First Resort..., it is lit with a Tinderbox to lure Wimpy birds to capture them with a Bird snare. However, burning tansymum also causes Diseased kebbits to attack.

Upon completing the quest, the tansymum cannot be lit in a range of locations. If attempting to light the tansymum in one of these locations, for example, the Grand Exchange, the player will receive the message; "There is too much wind to keep something smouldering."

Tansymum is a combination of the words tansy (a real-life herb) and mum (a real-life flower).
