Super defence potions are made by adding clean cadantine then white berries in a vial of water, giving 150 Herblore experience. It requires level 66 Herblore. Using a super defence potion temporarily raises the player's Defence level by 5-19 (5 + 15% of Defence level, rounded down).
The Super defence potion is less expensive than the Defence potion and gives a higher defensive boost.
The super defence potion is also an ingredient for making extreme defence potions, along with a clean lantadyme.
This potion does not allow players to equip items they could not otherwise equip.
Production costs
This table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of a vial of water, the cadantine, and white berries. It is accurate assuming all three items are bought from the Grand Exchange and the Super defence is sold afterwards.

This potion can be made into a Super defence flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks.

Trivia
- The price of super defence potions declined since Jungle strykewyrms, Desert strykewyrms, and Ice strykewyrms were released, as these strykewyrms all drop super defence potions in significant numbers. It is believed that players selling these drops have driven down the price of the potions.
- Another theory is that with the release of the enhanced excalibur, which gives a defence and lifepoints boost, has made the super defence potion redundant. However, super defence potions gives a higher defence boost and does not drain the special attack bar, making it more useful in some situations, such as PvP.
- As mentioned in the defence potion article; super defence potions are generally cheaper due to defence potions using ranarr herbs which cost more than cadantine.
