A Summoning cape can be purchased for 99,000 coins alongside the Summoning hood from Pikkupstix in Taverley by players who have achieved level 99 Summoning. It is the Cape of Accomplishment for the Summoning skill. Summoning capes are pale blue in colour, and have a gold trim if the player has more than one level 99 skill. Currently, Summoning capes are the 9th most uncommon cape after the mining skill cape, predominantly due to relatively massive amounts of money (40.3M-321.1M) and combat means needed to achieve level 99 in Summoning. Very few players achieved 99 Summoning at the lowest combat level possible of 15, which formulas have proved that this is the lowest level possible.

The cape's emote was changed on 25 February 2009 because it interfered with many other items of clothing and made the player invisible. It also caused other players around it to lag since it needed too much data. The cape was changed again on 25 May 2010 when Jagex introduced particles in skillcape emotes.<ref>Patch Notes 25/02/09</ref>

The Summoning skillcape now has a boost option to match other skillcapes. This was introduced with the 17 November 2009 update.

Untrimmed

Most players that have achieved 99 Summoning already have a skill level of 99, meaning that they would most likely have to create a pure of some sort and spend hours upon hours making money and gathering charms for the untrimmed version. Alternatively, they could have used the effects of the Bonus Xp Weekend saving them up to months collecting charms that would normally give them combat experience under regular circumstances. There are very few players with untrimmed Summoning capes in the game. Untrimmed Summoning capes can be achieved by methods in which collecting charms gives little experience in other skills or is spread across skills such as Controlled training. Rock lobsters, Waterfiends, Soul Wars and Slayer are some of the best methods to obtain various charms.
