Daga's Scimitar Smithy is a thievable stall that can be found on Ape Atoll and is near the rune stall. It is also the only known Scimitar shop in RuneScape that can be stolen from. Players can only talk to Daga while they are holding a Greegree and wearing the Monkeyspeak amulet (they may still trade without a Monkeyspeak amulet if they use the right-click option). A player can steal steel scimitars from this stall if they have a thieving level of 65.
The shop will respawn every 80 seconds and can give both thieving experience and magic experience by using high alchemy on the loot since the high alchemy value is similar (or greater) to the market value of a nature rune; however the rate is rather slow and there is a high chance of being caught and being imprisoned, as well as possibly dying due to the attacks of the monkey rangers and a blow from an official, level 149. Stealing from this stall carries a high risk, with relatively little reward, monetarily as well as with regards to experience gained.
This store has become obsolete with the introduction of updates that make it far easier, yet equally affordable, to obtain a Dragon scimitar. A Dragon scimitar can be bought from the Grand Exchange, where the market price never varies from the store price by more than a few thousand coins in either direction. The introduction of Dealga's Scimitar Emporium in 2010 reduced the usefulness of Daga's stall even further. The Dragon scimitar is the only item sold by Daga worthy of note, but Dealga sells the same weapon for the same price, but is in a much more accessible location, Varrock Sword Shop.
