The New key is obtained during the Mourning's Ends Part II quest by talking to the Head mourner in the basement of the Mourner HQ in West Ardougne. It is used on the west basement door to enter the tunnel to the Temple of Light, Dark Beasts, and runite ore. If dropped, another can be found on the desk in the south-east room of the basement.
