Morytania Tasks are a set of tasks set in the dark lands of Morytania. Due to an update along with the Morytania task system's release, players are no longer required to have completed Priest in Peril to reach Morytania. Members will be able to complete tasks at different difficulty levels: easy, medium, hard and elite for rewards, including experience lamps which will give a total of over 150,000 experience in skills. The item reward is the Morytania legs. The taskmasters are, in order: Hiylik Myna, Robin, the strange old man and Old Man Ral.
In addition, those who completed the easy and medium tasks within two weeks of the release, before 11 April2012, received an early bird lamp worth 15,000 experience.
You will need 40 prayer points to cast the spell. You can recharge your prayer in the Nature Grotto after completion of the Nature Spirit quest. (Temple Trekking provides a short-cut to the grotto as a reward.)
Only Going Forward, We Can't Find Reverse
Take an easy companion through an easy route of Temple Trekking
Simply choose an easy companion at the Temple Trekking start point, and guide them through an easy route. If you teleport out you can continue and still get the task done.
If It Bleeds...
Kill anything on the ground floor of the Slayer Tower
Some coins and access to Port Phasmatys at least once.
Two ecto-tokens are required for entry for those who did not complete Ghosts Ahoy. Cheapest is from Karamja at 550 coins with a ring of charos (a) (1100 without it); another way is to home teleport to Port Sarim and charter for 650 coins with ring of charos (a) (1300 without the ring).
Hollow trees are east of Canifis. Keep the bark, there is another task that needs it. It may take several attempts to get bark; most of the time nothing is obtained.
Add garlic to a restore potion, then add silver dust. Silver dust is obtained by grinding silver bars in the grinder on the upper floor of the Ectofuntus. If you get the garlic from the chest in the Myreque Hideout in Burgh de Rott, create the potion above. Making the potion in the hideout does not count as being in Morytania.
You will need 2 Buckets of water, 2 Barley malt, Ale yeast and the main ingredient for the ale you want to make. Add the water first, then the barley malt, then the main ingredient and then the ale yeast. CiderDOES work.
The tunnel is located under a trapdoor at the back of the Hair of the Dog inn, not inside.
If you have unlocked the tunnel shortcut by levelling Zachory Bragg to 99 in the Temple Trekking minigame, you may have to toggle the trapdoor's function back to normal.
You can also enter the tunnel from the opposite direction.
Kill anything on the 1st2nd floor[help] floor (upstairs) of the Slayer Tower.

45
Slayer can be boosted from 40 using a Wild pie. If climbing the spiky chain, bring a face mask or equivalent to guard against aberrant spectres' foul breath, otherwise stats would be drained harshly.
A Crystal-mine key is needed to access the mithril ore. Enter the stairs found at the northeast surface part of the Abandoned mine, and use the Crystal-mine key on the doors to get through. If the key is on the Steel key ring, you can just use the key ring on the doors.
An antique lamp giving 10,000 experience in any skill for skills above level 46
If you had done the Easy and Medium tasks before 11 April 2012, you would get another antique lamp giving 15,000 experience in any skill above level 50
Using a portal in another players' house will complete this task.
50 Construction can build a Portal Chamber in their player-owned house, and a Kharyrll portal to modern-day Canifis may be assigned without needing the spellbook set to Ancient Magicks (requires 200 law runes, 100 blood runes, and 66 magic).
Specific skill requirements depend on the set of armour used. See Barrows equipment for more detail. Take the armour to Barrows and equip the armour while above ground.
Requires 1 blisterwood log and 2 silver sickles. Fletching in Darkmeyer does count, however it is still possible to complete this task before finishing the quest.
Trekkin' Ain't Easy
Take a hard companion through a hard route of Temple Trekking.
Can be done at level 75 by talking to Oldak, he can boost your runecrafting level by +2 or -2, quickly use a blood tab or the blood altar teleport of the Wicked Hood.
Get every follower in Temple Trekking & Burgh de Rott Ramble to level 99. This task may say it is possible for the player to do before the ability from temple trekking is unlocked.
Fiyr remains can be bought on the Grand Exchange or obtained by killing Fiyr Shades. Fiyr are found on the hard route in temple trekking (during the shade event). They can also be obtained with a silver or gold key to access the Fiyr Shades area of the Shade Catacombs. If you don't have one, you'll first have to acquire the lesser Shade keys through cremating the lower-level Shades.
50% more firemaking experience from burning Vyre Corpses.
50% more prayer experience for cremating Vyre corpses.
A 10% chance of getting a second blood rune for every single essence. Extra experience is given for each blood rune made in this way (akin to the legs providing another piece of essence).
10% more slayer experience in the Morytania Slayer Tower, when on a task.
20% chance of creating a 4-dose Prayer renewal potion instead of a 3-dose while making them in Morytania.
At all times
Robin will give the player 39 bonemeal (from any type of bones you give him) and slime in exchange for 39 bones daily. He does not accept noted bones. This will require at least 3 trips (unless using a Pack yak - 2 trips) as 1 free inventory spot is needed for each bone; for 13 bones, 26 spots will be needed for 13 bonemeals and 13 slimes.
Doubled amount of mushrooms farmed from the Canifis mushroom patch. (Seeds planted before finishing the elite tasks still produce double mushrooms.)
Trivia
The incorrectly labeled "Early Bird Bonus"The advertisement for the Early Bird Bonus was labeled as a "New Achievement Diary," despite the fact that the Diaries had been officially called Tasks for more than a year and a half prior to the arrival of the Morytania Task Set.
These tasks are the only set to have a separate taskmaster for the elite rewards, for it is currently the only one to be released after the elite tasks for the other sets.
The task "Thoroughly A-Ghast" used to state that it required a Summoning level of 85, but level 87 is actually required to complete the task. This has been fixed.
The task "Gate Spectre-ations" might be a reference to the novel "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens.
The task "Huge Success" might be a reference to the popular Valve game Portal where the Antagonist GLaDOS uses those words in the song Still Alive to describe the player who harnesses portal technology.
The task "Only Going Forward, We Can't Find Reverse" likely refers to the song "Star Trekkin'" by The Firm, in both title and lyrics.
The task "Whip: It Good" might be a reference to the song "Whip It" by Devo.
The task "Trekkin' Ain't Easy" might be a reference to the song "Pimpin' Ain't Easy" by Slick Rick.
The task "Dislike-Anthrope" is a reference to the Greek word lycanthrope, which means werewolf.
The task "Who You Gonna Ring?" is a reference to Ghost Busters and their popular catch phrase, "Who you gonna call?"
The task "It's only Wafer Thin" is a reference to the thin mint from the Monty Python skit involving Mr. Creosote from the movie "Monty Python: The Meaning of Life".
The task "Shade-Shattering Ka-Bloom" is likely a reference to Marvin the Martian of Looney Tunes fame, who would often ask "Where's the Earth-shattering kaboom?" when Bugs Bunny would snuff out the fuse on whatever weapon he was trying to fire at the Earth.
The task "If It Bleeds" Refers to the movie "Predator" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He says the line after seeing the creatures blood on a leaf.
The task "Bros Before Barrows" refers to the saying "bros before hoes".Template:Task
